Our Story

More than hockey.

A movement creating more opportunity, more confidence and more places for girls to know they belong in the game.

Fredericton. Since 2024.

Rink Rebels began in Fredericton in 2024 with extra ice, shooting sessions and a small group of girls who wanted more time at the rink.

Why we exist

A place for every player.

Every player comes to the game for a different reason. Some want to push themselves and see how far they can go. Some want extra development. Some simply want more time on the ice with their friends. Whether she is finding her feet or chasing her next challenge, every girl deserves to feel welcome, supported and valued.

We believe there should be a place for all of them.

How it grew

From a little extra ice to something much bigger.

More players joined, and more people stepped forward to help. Families, coaches, volunteers and local businesses gave their time, energy and support. What began as extra time on the ice grew into tournaments, development sessions, mentorship and shared experiences that connected girls and families across the hockey community.

Memories beyond the game.
A movement built together

The game brings us together.
The people make it matter.

To every player, family, coach, volunteer, sponsor and community member: thank you for being part of Rink Rebels. Your time, encouragement and generosity have made these experiences possible and given these girls memories they will carry long after they leave the rink.

There is still so much ahead.

And we hope you’ll be part of it.
